WHAT is mocape
MoCapes are three unconventional cloths between 0,25m2 and 3,5m2 designed to extend the human comfort zone outdoors further than conventional limb clothing can do alone.
MoCapes use their own patented systems of fixation different to common limb clothing with holes for the head, arms and legs. In combination with common wear these cloths redress the daily problems of changing climates, by adding a further dimension to clothes, relayering without undressing, emphasizing what human nakedness is about, flexibility.
Clothing starts with our first breath and a blanket, the world over, so why do we distance ourselves from this garment all the time?
With all the functions provided by limb clothing, is there then anything they cannot do? YES THERE IS! Acclimatize.
With the birth of the clothing industry and its subsequent growth, body fit and optic pushed quality cloth out of the reach of many customers, mesmerized by the savings possible with cheaper materials and mass production. This industry is dependent on limitless resources and systems of disposal. It is now unavoidable that better clothing solutions be introduced to get an industry away from so much unnecessary waste. MoCapes are Climate Control Clothing, team players with regional dress across the world. With technical innovations they have emancipated cloth from the restrictions inherent in limb clothing.
MoCapes can be removed at any time from under or over normal clothes without undressing. With them we need less material for better protection and comfort. When not required these Capes remain near us as cushions, blankets, carrier bags and day packs, justifying their presence at all times and walks in life from the outdoors down to the well earnt sleep.
MoCapes serves those who want maximum utility, flexibility, best natural materials and the smallest footprint every day. Wool, cotton and other fibers can now be enjoyed for their best empathic, protective and sustainable qualities. MoCapes do all three the highest justice.
For these tasks I have developed three capes, all combinable, like siblings, always willing and able to help each other, all with their special fields of action: legs (GroundCape), torso (CenterCape) and head (TopCape). Three areas experiencing each day activities so different and yet coming together every night for some wholesome sleep, because a MoCape is also a top sleeping bag, adjustible to all seasons.
Once the functions are understood their beautiful forms unfold and you will feel that dressing mankind in limb clothing is simply not enough.
